Wallace Rykko is a recruit in the Military Organization protecting the walls from Titans. He is part of the 105th Trainee Group and is currently bunkmates with Arend Klien.

Personality[]

Wallace is not shy by any means, but he has a tendency to speak bluntly which may offend others. While he may seem gruff at first, he is very loyal to his comrades. He is in possesion of small black book filled with drawings and journal entries. Wallace wishes to join the Garrison despite a seemingly irrational fear of the wall.

Appearance[]

Wallace is 5'10 and around 170 lbs. He has a very stocky build, and would probably have ended up overweight if not for the rigorous military training. He has scruffy auburn hair which seems impossible to style. His eyes are pale-blue and he constantly has dark circles under his eyes.

Biography[]

Wallace Rykko grew up in the back streets of Trost with his younger half-brother. His mother was a prostitute that his father had an affair with. She died giving birth to him. His father, depressed by the death of his lover, sank deep into alcoholism. After a few years, Wallace's stepmother left, leaving her son behind. Wallace grew very close to his half-brother, and they took to begging on the streets while his father spent money on alcohol. At some point, Wallace's half-brother was killed and with no further ties besides his deadbeat father, Wallace left to join to the military.

Quotes[]

"The last time I was up on a wall, bad things happened. People died. Seeing the casualties just remind me of that. We won, though. We're okay."

"S-sorry I just... Sorry. When do you think we can get off the wall? I'd like to get off the wall now!"

"I can understand wanting to protect the people. I want to keep these walls and those inside as safe as I

"Maybe that's part of it though. The fear, I mean. Maybe the whole trick to this isn't being fearless, more that it's overcoming your fear."
